Who is Leeds CCE for?
The Leeds Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann plays a vital role in bringing together people from diverse backgrounds who share a passion for Irish culture. Social Integration
Learning music with 1:1 tuition and in groups ensures that rhythm and participation are intrinsically part of the teaching method. a strong emphasis on group learning and team teaching ensures our students rapidly develop ear training and the ability to read music .
With a dedicated team of volunteer adults from a broad range of professions there is a strong focus on the social aspects of being a member of Leeds CCE. This ensures that the children and young people thrive in a culture of Meitheal (collective group effort), develop great bonds of friendship which in turn encourages their commitment and dedication to practice, improve and motivation to get involved.
Regular opportunities to participate in musical performances, competitions, shows and national and international Fleadhanna (festivals), fortifies our young people with confidence and competence throughout all areas of their lives.
